Donald Trump has to have some uses, right? It seems he really does with Boing Boing reporting this brilliant new Mexican product, a Trump toilet paper, with 30% of the profits going towards helping migrants. That’s Apprentice-quality entrepreneurialism you can approve of! 

Could come in handy for Jared Kushner  in the weeks ahead?

Keeping it Live – that’s a stellar lineup of music, spoken word, theatre and film from Hidden Doors this year, plus this week sees the launch of the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival with world class theatre for kids from 1.5 to 15 years old (27 May – 4 June)  – AND coming soon (15-18 June) “LeithLate returns with an exciting LeithLate17 programme of visual art, theatre, poetry and live music, as well as annual sell-out mural tours and brand new Public Poetry Trail!”
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Manchester, and amidst so much brutal weirdness, the brilliant Brain Pickings has some advice for “Hope in Dark Times, Resisting the Defeatism of Easy Despair, and What Victory Really Means for Movements of Social Change”. Rebecca Solnit writes:

“This is an extraordinary time full of vital, transformative movements that could not be foreseen. It’s also a nightmarish time. Full engagement requires the ability to perceive both.”
